Concerts

Perth City Hall June 2001

The group performed in front of a capacity crowd in the excellent acoustics of the Lesser City Hall. The event gave the Perth Barbershop Singers the opportunity to show the 'Home' audience the group's capabilities.
The Concert was headlined by PBS with support from a local country dance band and two vocal quartets, B Sharps and Crew Cut.
PBS produced a very varied menu, including some Pole Cat standards as well as more modern 50's and 60's songs!
The combination of a full house and excellent accoustics enabled the members to show off their talents to good effect and the praise thereafter confirmed that all the work done by Musical Director Martin Neilson and the group themselves was worthwhile.
As well as being a successful event in terms of showing music ability, the choir also attracted the interest of a couple of new members who have subsequently settled in to their respective roles.

In May 2000 they shared the stage with the inimitable and highly talented George Donald in the Brunton Hall, Musselburgh in a WRVS Anniversary Concert.
In 1999 the PBS featured in the Fair City Singers big tenth anniversary concert in Perth City Hall.
