NEWS:
Fair City Singers and Bydgoszcz Vocal Ensemble from Poland
perform in Perth.
This
was a truly international occasion with songs in English,
Scots, Polish and Latin sung by the Fair City Singers and
the Bydgosczc Vocal Ensemble.

September 2004 in Perth City Hall was a great success.

Why
the name "Fair City" Singers?
Sir Walter Scott wrote of the ‘Fair City’ of Perth which is
how the choir got its name.
 Why
is the choir mascot a bee?
As our audiences well know, the choir colours are yellow and
black, so several years ago one of the founder members decided
to create a mascot in the form of 'Beartha Bee', incorporating
the old Gaelic name for Perth. See if you can spot Beartha
in some of our photos – she’s in at least three of them!
 Why
are the photos so small?
To
keep the page download times low. Most of the photos contain
links which open a new window containing a full-size jpeg
of the same image (typically 30 – 90 Kbytes) plus an
explanatory caption giving more information.
